About Chris

Christopher Bookwalter was NEVER one to sit still.  He was moving and grooving ever since age 4.  As a child Chris was always involved in many different sport-related past times such as baseball, football, wrestling, and a little basketball.  Chris grew up just as any other kid does in today's society.  Chris eventually took an interest in computers after seeing a few "computer" movies on television.

While in high school Chris developed a keen sense for the world of computers.  He majored in "Electronics" and "Computer Network Administration".  It was at this point in his life that Chris knew he wanted to be in the IT field forever.  He loved working with computers and wanted to turn it into a profession.  Little did Chris know that his love for computers was about to find its soul mate elsewhere.

Chris fell in love with dancing the moment he went to his first night club at the age of 16.  Chris and his friends were constantly trying to "battle", "skit", and improve on their hip hop/club dancing skills.  At the time Chris only thought of his dancing as "social" and never really gave thought to the idea of doing it professionally.

At the age of 20 Chris fell into the Ballroom/Latin dance phenomenon just as "ballroom dancing" made its debut onto the television network scene.  Originally Chris was in love with "the Rumba" with its soothing rhythms and romantic hip sways.  Within time however, Chris became fascinated with the movement of the Smooth dances, particularly the Waltz and the Foxtrot.

Now at age 27, Chris has realized a bigger picture when it comes to dancing.  Chris believes that "everyone" has a dancer within themselves, and he wants to encourage that.  Chris still continues to perfect on his dance technique and knowledge on a daily basis.  With dance on this kid's mind, who knows where the dance industry can head to next!

What Chris Is Currently Up To

Chris is currently working on two "major" projects.  Chris truly believes in the higher purpose of dance, and wants to share his love of "dance" with everyone around the world.   Chris is working diligently to create dance content for the site "danceontheweb.com" and will eventually be building up another site called "dancersconnected.com" .  Within the next couple of years, Chris plans on making a monumental impact on the dance industry to combine the different styles and concepts that dancing has to offer.

Keep a lookout and stay tuned for more!
